Wall-to-wall carpet fitted in a Dubai living room by Urban Carpet Flooring

Dubai's carpet, rug and grass specialist

Urban Carpet Flooring is a Dubai specialist in soft and outdoor floor coverings: wall-to-wall carpet, carpet tiles, loose rugs and artificial grass. We measure, supply and install every floor we sell with our own team, across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with a free site visit on every project and honest advice on the carpet that suits the room.

Most carpet jobs are two separate headaches: one company sells the carpet, another lays it, and when a seam lifts or a join shows, each blames the other. We do both. The carpet you choose and the team that fits it come from one company, so there is a single point of accountability from the first measurement to the final finish. Being a carpet specialist rather than a general flooring company means deeper stock, sharper fitting and straight advice on fibre, pile and underlay. Learn more about Urban Carpet Flooring.

How to choose the right carpet in the UAE

A quick guide to the decisions that matter most, with detail on each product's page. The advice we give most on a site visit is simple: the carpet someone has set their heart on is often wrong for the room, and another fibre or pile suits it better. Matching the carpet to the traffic, the room and the climate saves more regret than any single product choice.

Best carpet for UAE heat, dust and traffic

Fibre matters more than colour here. Nylon is the most resilient synthetic for busy homes, stairs and offices. Polypropylene resists moisture and fading and is usually solution-dyed, so colour holds under UV. Wool is the premium natural option, soft and resilient but pricier. Polyester is soft and stain-resistant but crushes sooner, so it suits low-traffic bedrooms.

Budget vs premium carpet

Supplied and fitted, economy polypropylene and polyester start around AED 35 to 55/sqm (about AED 3.3 to 5.1/sqft). Mid-range nylon and blends run about AED 60 to 95/sqm (about AED 5.6 to 8.8/sqft). Premium wool and designer ranges sit from AED 120 to over AED 300/sqm (about AED 11.1 to 27.9/sqft).

See the carpet cost guide.

Best carpet for offices, mosques and high traffic

Carpet tiles are the practical choice for offices and retail: hard-wearing, replaceable tile by tile, good at hiding cabling. Solution-dyed nylon broadloom suits heavy traffic, and dense large-format mosque carpet covers prayer halls comfortably.

Carpet, rugs or artificial grass?

Fitted carpet gives wall-to-wall warmth and quiet, best for bedrooms, majlis and whole rooms. A loose rug adds softness over an existing floor without permanent fitting. Artificial grass belongs outdoors, where natural lawn struggles in the heat. One honest limit: carpet is not for wet areas or heavy-spill kitchens, and we will say so.

Why choose Urban Carpet Flooring

A carpet specialist sees the same few mistakes again and again: the wrong fibre for the traffic, skipped underlay, a colour chosen without thought for dust, or carpet laid where a wet area needed a hard floor. Honest advice up front avoids all of it.

In-House Fitting Team

Our own fitters do every job, so the people who advise you are the people who fit the floor.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply and fit carpet, or supply only?

We do both. Urban Carpet Flooring supplies and installs every floor we sell, using our own fitters rather than subcontractors. That covers measuring, supply, fitting and finishing for carpet, rugs and artificial grass. A free site visit and measurement comes first, so the quote is based on your actual room sizes, not an estimate.

Is the site visit and measurement free?

Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation site visit and measurement across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Our team measures the space, checks the subfloor, talks through the carpet, rug or grass options that suit the room, and gives you an accurate supply-and-fit quote afterwards. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange a time that works for you.

Which areas of Dubai and the UAE do you cover?

We serve Dubai and Abu Dhabi as our primary areas, and the wider UAE on request. From our Al Barsha base we cover Dubai communities directly, and reach Abu Dhabi areas including Saadiyat Island, Yas Island, Al Reem Island, Al Raha Beach and Khalifa City. Tell us your location on WhatsApp and we will confirm coverage.

What types of carpet do you supply?

We supply the full range: wall-to-wall broadloom, carpet tiles, and specialist options for offices, mosques, stairs and outdoor areas. Across fibres that includes wool, nylon, polypropylene and polyester, in cut-pile and loop-pile constructions. We advise honestly on which fibre and pile suit your traffic and budget, rather than pushing the most expensive option.

Do you do rugs and artificial grass as well?

Yes. Alongside fitted carpet we supply loose rugs, including Persian and oriental, round, kids, outdoor and custom rugs, and artificial grass for gardens, balconies, terraces and sports areas. They are soft-floor and grass-carpet products, so they sit naturally with our carpet work. We supply, and where relevant install, all three from one team.

How much does carpet cost in Dubai?

Carpet is usually quoted per square metre supplied and fitted, and the price depends mainly on the fibre and construction. As an indicative guide, broadloom carpet runs roughly AED 30 to 450/sqm (about AED 2.8 to 41.8/sqft) and carpet tiles around AED 35 to 130/sqm (about AED 3.3 to 12.1/sqft). See our carpet cost guide for the full breakdown.

How long does carpet installation take?

It depends on the area and the prep. A standard room is typically measured and fitted in a few hours, while a full home or office runs over a day or more, depending on size, subfloor condition and whether old flooring needs lifting. We confirm the timeline at the free site visit, once we have seen the space and the access.

Do you advise when carpet is the wrong choice?

Yes. Carpet is not suited to wet areas or heavy-spill kitchens, where moisture and stains shorten its life, and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong floor. In those rooms a hard, waterproof surface is the better call. For bedrooms, majlis, offices and stairs, carpet is usually the warmer, quieter choice.

How do I get a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp or call, tell us the rooms and the product you are considering, and we will arrange a free site visit at a time that suits you. We measure, advise on the right carpet, rug or grass, and send an accurate supply-and-fit quote. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation to proceed.
